So yesterday, after I took a keke(tricycle) from Iju to Pen cinema my prayer was to not get lost. When I eventually got to my stop, I got down and just like every other person started walking forward. I knew if I could catch the BRT, it would be very good for me. Walked and saw two BRT lines. One with just five people and the other with 12 people or so. I didn't wait long enough to count. It was getting late and there was no BRT I could see coming to pick the people on the queue. I deceived to keep walking forward. I had walked the route before with someone and had an idea of where I was going to.
So moving forward, I crossed to the other side of the road and kept walking. I saw a Turning and then I wasn't sure if I was to turn or not. Looking forward, I saw a train passing and decided to turn since there was no train the other day(😁😁😁 very smart of me)
So I turned and kept walking and couldn't see a bus. Continued walking and this time, I was definitely moving with the crowd and didn't know where I was going.
You'll he wondering why I didn't ask anybody. Everybody was walking just too fast ahnahn, before I say please excuse me they've reached the road. So I just kept walking like I knew where I was going just as everybody was doing. I finally decided I had walked too much and if I had to turn back it would be a long walk and so as not to increase my journey back, I entered a shop and decided to buy a shoe.
I picked a red shoe and knowing that there won't be another colour, I asked for black😂😂😂. The seller said he didn't have and suggested I pick a similar one. Under the pretence of not wanting another one and not being very satisfied I looked at a fellow buyer and said" please, where can I get a bus to Oshodi from here sef" the woman told me where. I took a little look at the other shoes and with a fake dissatisfaction I left the shop. I started my journey back to where the woman directed me to. Funny enough, it was near the rail I thought it wouldn't be because of the moving train. There was no train when I went back and it looked more like it. After walking a little with the crowd, I saw the bus I was looking for.
Boarded a bus not a BRT because it was full and I ended up being dropped way after my bus stop simply because I didn't come down when one man was fighting to come down. It would have been a convenient stop but, how will I fight to come down😕?
So I sat, held my peace and gently prepared for the walk that awaited me. I got home safe though and I think I walk pretty fast😉.
Moral lesson :
It is not good to do Ako. It will make you cartwalk well well. In other words, as questions and speak up when you need to so you don't have to take a longer route.
